HISTORY The Irish Christian Writers’ Fellowship was formed as a result of a course on Christian writing held at the Irish Bible School, Coalbrook, County Tipperary, in 1983. As the availability and willingness of members and other interested parties have permitted, we have from time to time produced anthologies and run competitions and literary evenings. We are mainly a postal group and produce a small presentation of members' work now called "The Candlestick". A small volunteer committee meets every two months to oversee the group and to pray for Christian writers. A recent development is the use by UCB Ireland radio of material from "The Candlestick".
